I know I have been missing in action for awhile, but I have been crazy busy with my personal life these past few months. Regardless, I promise to bring a whole new repertoire of names within the next few months, and I am even of thinking of given my blog a little face list. I am open to suggestions.
Looking forward to it!
Is there a way to contact you other than by posting a comment? I have a question that I’d rather ask than post. I’m sure you can see my email address because the site asks for it when I post so you can email and I’ll email back the question.
When can we expect your return? I’ve looked through your entire archives now and want more to add to my evergrowing list! This is (was?) a fantastic name blog.
I am going to be coming out with more name articles soon. I have been so busy in my personal life. Thank you so much for coming and please continue to check back 🙂
I had an Aunt who was christened Rosamund, meaning “Rose of the World”. (As a schoolgirl she sometimes she spelled it Rosmond, though I think she was just experimenting)
What I did not know until I studied church history is that this is a uniquely English name, and before the English Reformation it was often bestowed on a girl born in Advent (the four weeks preparing for Christmas) in tribute to the Virgin Mary considered as the finest flower of the human race, inasmuch as she bore the Saviour of the world.
Thanks for the info. There is some great history behind many names. Rosamund has a particularly beautiful one, IMO.
Hi are you still coming back 🙂
Mais oui! I have been going through a job change the last few months so I have barely have had any time coming on here. But Ideally, I would like to start posting again in October 🙂
This is a great blog. If we have another child, I’ll check back for inspiration. Thanks for putting it together!
Thank you Svea!
